This week's feature article in The Voice. Reasearch into the recent bill to add conversion therapy to Canada's Criminal Code. Until now, Canada has refused to deal with conversion therapy on a federal level, stating that as a "health" issue, conversion therapy was to be dealt with provincially. Although a few provinces and cities adopted measures over the years, it remained in grey area. Also discussed, the landmark 1994 Vriend Supreme Court decision that led to many of the rights and protections that the Canadian queer community has today.
